Rob and Riley knock out another podcast where they discuss Wake Forest athletics. The Deacs managed to go 1-1 this week, with a win over Clemson on Tuesday, but a bad loss to Boston College on Saturday. This guarantees a Wednesday first round ACC Tournament game, and also sets up a tough two games against Duke and Miami to finish up the regular season. The talks also turn to bigger pictures, such as: what kind of a hire would the fan base be happy with, and who on the team gives consistent effort game in and game out?
Rob and Riley are joined by their good friend Bart as they discuss the two losses on the road to Maryland and UNC. After previewing this week's matchups vs. Clemson and BC, they throw around several topics including: have the players for the Deacs quit on Jeff Bzdelik, when will Jeff Bzdelik be fired, as well as answering questions from the Wake Forest Twitterverse. This is an episode of Roll The Quadcast that any Demon Deacon fan would not want to miss.
Rob and Riley have seen enough of Jeff Bzdelik and Wake Forest basketball this season. After two more losses of the same variety, they let Jeff Bzdelik have it in this rendition of Roll The Quadcast. The Deacs suffered a loss at N.C. State where TJ Warren scored 34 points. They followed it up with a loss at the Joel to Florida State, where they had a 24-8 lead before allowing a massive Seminole run spanning nearly 20 game minutes.
Rob and Riley look back at the loss at Duke, where the Deacs started hot out of the gate before cooling off to a top 20 team. There were several bright spots, but the same old poor shooting made pulling off the upset an impossibility. With the game in Cameron over with, Wake Forest has to find a way to get a win or two against N.C. State and Florida State. One of the podcasters things the Deacs will pull off a rare road win in Raleigh!
Rob and Riley get together for a special edition of Roll The Quadcast to discuss all the new signees of Wake Forest on National Signing Day. New head coach Dave Clawson did a remarkable job in the first two+months at the helm at Wake, and that is evident in the players he reaped today. Inside this wee's podcast is an in-depth look at the 25 new Demon Deacons, as well as some analysis as to what to expect from these guys over the next 4-5 years.
Well we had all the highs of last week, and now we have the lows of this week. Rob and Riley break down the less than stellar week of basketball that included a respectable 10-point loss to #2 Syracuse, and a horrendous loss to #139 Georgia Tech. The only saving grace for Demon Deacon fans is continued recruiting savvy of football coach Dave Clawson. With National Signing Day approaching, who has he got to commit now?!?!
Rob and Riley are ecstatic for Episode 17 because for the first time in over two calendar years, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons won an ACC road basketball game. It was pretty and ugly at times, but the W is all that matters. To follow it up, Wake then validated with a nice home victory over the Notre Dame FIghting Irish. The guys discuss how the Deacs won those two games, answered some Twitter questions about getting bubbleicious for the NCAA Tournament, and then look ahead to the Syracuse and Georgia Tech basketball games this week.
Rob and Riley break down the 1-1 week that saw a nice win over in-state rival N.C. State, but yet another road loss dropped Jeff Bzdelik to 1-27 in ACC road games at Wake Forest. The next week sees a road game at Virginia Tech, and then the first ever ACC game vs. Notre Dame. Can this week be the week that Bzdelik gets his second Wake Forest ACC road win? The guys discuss.
Rob and Riley reconvene after a holiday break to talk about the big win for Wake Forest over North Carolina. Of course for every positive there is a negative, particularly as it pertains to Wake Forest athletics, and that negative is the road play of the Deacs under Jeff Bzdelik. The duo also take a look ahead to the week with N.C. State coming to town and a road trip to Clemson.
